Who we are

SnapSiteUK ("we", "us") builds affordable websites for UK small businesses. For questions about this policy or your data, email hello@snapsite.uk.

What we collect

• Email enquiries: your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us when you email us.
• Cookies & analytics: if you consent, anonymised usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) to help us improve the site.
• Server logs: standard request data (IP, user agent) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

Lawful basis

We rely on consent for analytics cookies, legitimate interests for responding to enquiries and keeping the site secure, and contract when delivering a paid project.

How long we keep it

Contact enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We use trusted suppliers to run the service — hosting and email delivery providers — who process data on our behalf under written agreements.

Cookies

We group cookies into four categories:

• Strictly necessary — required for core website functionality. Always on.
• Analytics & performance — Google Analytics, so we can see how the site is used. Off unless you opt in.
• Marketing & advertising — advertising measurement or personalisation. Off by default; we don't use these today.
• Functional / personalisation — remembers preferences you set. Off by default.

Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie called snapsite_cookie_consent (and a matching localStorage entry) for 12 months. It records only which categories you allowed and when. If we add new cookie categories we'll ask you again.

The Google tag is present on every page, but it starts in a disabled state (Google Consent Mode) — no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected until you opt in.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Turning analytics off stops further collection and clears the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to data portability. Email us to exercise any of these. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
